Welcome to Mossley CRT: Where Cycling Meets Community

At Mossley CRT, we believe cycling is more than a sport, it’s a community, a family, and a place where people of all ages discover confidence, friendship and the pure joy of two wheels. As an inclusive mainstream club and an accredited Go-Ride club, we’re proud to support young riders, new riders, returning riders and ambitious racers who want to push their limits.

What makes Mossley CRT truly special isn’t just the training sessions or the club rides, it’s the people.

A Family Club With a Big Heart

Step into a Mossley CRT session and you’ll quickly feel the difference. We’re a club built on warmth, encouragement and the idea that everyone has something to bring — from complete beginners to competitive athletes.

Our riders come from all walks of life, with families playing a huge part in the Mossley CRT spirit. A few who you’ll meet:

  • Jamie, Eddie & Charlie, embracing BMX and trying out new styles.

  • Bryn, one of our quickest riders — and a seriously talented violinist.

  • Jason, always training hard (and a medal winning skier on the side).

  • Andy - our secretary, keeps us all in check.

  • Mark - 10k runner along with long standing cyclist, never misses a session.

And then there’s the heart of Mossley CRT the families who ride, train, volunteer and cheer together:

    - June and Daniel and Chairwoman and her SO athlete son.
    - Bev and Lois - showing dedication session after session, rain or shine, and Bev keeps our finances and safeguarding running smoothly.
    - Colin and Henry - with Henry recently taking his Grade 6 drum exam and Colin a key coach who runs our winter turbo sessions.
    - Kiera and Brian - Kiera - an Olympic Gold Medalist, World Health Organisation - technical advisory group expert. Special Olympics international board member athlete rep and Brian - a club linch pin & one of our more experienced coaches.
    - Joe and Steve - Joe’s a coach and Steve helps manage the Mossley kit along with being an active cyclo cross racer.
    - Zach and Seren - have been regularly riding with us for many years, they give it their all.
    - Dave and Peter, with Peter progressing from Go-Ride to the main group in incredible style and pace.
    - Andrew, Sharon and Phil, who ride more than 100 miles a week and still find time to support Special Olympics events.
    - Isobel and Milena — with Milena representing at the SO World Games in 2023.
    - Max and Neve — our Go-Ride and Limitless duo.

This family foundation is what makes the club thrive: people grow together, learn together and celebrate each other’s achievements.

Learning, Progressing, Belonging

Whether you’re joining us for structured development or leisure cycling, our sessions are designed to build skills, confidence and resilience. From Go-Ride fundamentals to club rides and coached training blocks, there’s something for everyone.

And the progress we see is remarkable. One of our favourite moments this year was launching our own internal Olympics an idea from one of our fabulous coaches Jade, to give younger riders a taste of competition in a fun, supportive environment. Riders such as Eli, Charlie, Jamie, Max, Yasmin, Eddie, Abigail, Zach, George and Alfie rose to the challenge brilliantly.
The smiles, the determination, the friendly rivalry, it was everything Mossley CRT stands for.

All Riders Welcome

We often get asked whether you need to be part of a cycling family to join. The answer is simple: absolutely not.
You just need to love bikes or want to love bikes and show up with enthusiasm.

Our only prerequisite?
If you can stay upright, you’re in.

Whether you’re:

  • dreaming of racing,

  • building confidence,

  • riding for fitness, or

  • simply making memories with new friends…

…Mossley CRT is your club.
