Wyke SO Nationals 2025

It’s only been seven months since we were last at Wyke, but it feels so good to be back. There's something about this place, the hills, the atmosphere, the buzz - that makes us feel at home.

This time, we’ve brought a team of six: Andrew, Daniel, Milena, James, Jason and Yasmin. Each one fired up, focused, and ready to race. It might be early in the season, but this is exactly the kind of challenge that sets the tone for the year ahead a proper test of legs, lungs and team spirit.

Huge credit to Summat Creative for putting on such a slick event. From the smooth start line logistics to the thoughtful additions, like shorter races for newcomers, the whole day felt even more inclusive, energised and even better than before. They’ve clearly taken feedback to heart and raised the bar.

Riders have travelled from all corners of the UK, from the coasts of Devon to the Highlands of Scotland and just like last time, what stands out is the camaraderie. This isn’t just a race weekend; it’s a celebration of community, commitment, and the pure joy of competition.

Today's races — the 5k TT, 3k TT and 15k APR — pushed everyone to their limits. And we’re proud to say the North West team is off to a flying start: Bronze, Silver, and Gold already in the bag. We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

A heartfelt thank you to the parents, volunteers, and organisers who make this all possible. It’s a special thing to be part of and an even greater privilege to help lead this incredible NW team.
